In most cases of my poetry, they have been inspired in some way by a painting of Zdzisław Beksiński, which isn't hard to see why. Beksiński's dark, surreal, and abstract paintings have a certain charm about them that really attracts me. I try to reflect the same feeling in my poems.
I should take the time to give a bit of a more, perspective on what I intend with this account. I'm a poet--simple enough yes? I prefer to write in abstracts with odd meters and such; though have begun to experiment with structures and themes. Blunt writing in prose and poetry annoys me to no end; as does clichéd writing.
I feel that the writer and reader benefit more when the words they read convey a multitude of messages, ideas, images, and thoughts. The more one is convinced to think, the better the work was. The less one overuses common words, the more thought is put into a work. Stepping outside the traditional bounds is something every poet should strive for.
So, I hope that what I write convinces you to think. May the floodgates of thought open forth.

I haven't seen you in years!
